Social virtual reality platform AltspaceVR has today announced they are partnering with Dungeons and Dragons publisher Wizards of the Coast to bring the tabletop RPG to virtual reality.Tabletop RPG's have long been the "holy grail" of video games, offering a fairly intense social experience and a nearly limitless potential, providing you have someone to run the game.But converted Dungeons and Dragons to digital has proven to be a tough task. Right in the middle of Pokemon's 20th anniversary, Nintendo just announced that it will air a special Nintendo direct this week featuring news about the Pokemon franchise.There are rumors of a new Pokemon (codename Rainbow), of multiple products like amiibos and this could also be the time to talk about Pokemon GO.Though this would just be a tease as a full unveiling is planned for GDC.This Nintendo direct will be live February 26th at 3PM UK time and you'll be able to watch it here....

Square Enix has revealed its cult classic RPG SaGa Frontier is getting a HD remaster for mobile devices in next summer, officially called SaGa Frontier Remastered.Originally released in the West in 1998 for the Sony PlayStation, the game takes place in a science fantasy universe called The Regions, which are a group of worlds united by varying degrees of culture, technology and unique species. You play as one of seven protagonists, each with their own story and goals. It’s very non-linear, thanks to the game’s Free Scenario System which lets you travel freely between many locations.The reveal of SaGa Frontier Remastered came in a live stream for Square Enix’s Romancing SaGa Re;universe in Japan. Part of the ongoing SaGa Project has included Western releases of Romancing SaGa 3, SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions and popular mobile game Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe, so there is definitely a resurging amount of interest in the franchise.SaGa Frontier Remastered is overseen by Akitoshi Kawazu, who has worked on the series in the past as well as several Final Fantasy games. The updated version will introduce a whole host of new improvements and additions, such as remastered graphics, new story content, new characters and new skills. There’ll be something there for both newcomers and long-time fans alike.SaGa Frontier Remastered is headed for iOS and Android next summer, as part of Square Enix’s more recent drive to bring its classics to modern platforms. It’s also coming to PlayStation 4 (and presumably PS5 via backwards compatibility), PC on Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
