"Oh, I once dreamed of a palace, too," said Anne. "I suppose all girls do. And then we settle down contentedly in eight-room houses that seem to fulfill all the desires of our hearts--because our prince is there. There's been a resurgence in local multiplayer these days, with raucous single-screen battlers like TowerFall and Nidhogg. Solo dev Antti Ojala wants to bring that to iPad with his new game, Duck Bumps. Each player gets two buttons in their corner of the iPad, which is used to give a plump boxy bird a little waft of Flappy Bird-style flight. The challenge then is to navigate yourself onto another player's bonce. If you bop all three other birds you win the round. Also, when you get bumped, your duck turns into a shower of uncontrollable duck bits that rain down on other players and score you extra points. It certainly makes for some tense final battles as you must dodge ducks and duck bits alike. The game's got four levels with random modifiers that mix up the gameplay. And you can play it with two or three or four players - or solo if you want to practice.Duck Bumps doesn't quite have the tactical brilliance of TowerFall, or the same level of friendship-ruining mayhem as a game like Slamjet Stadium. But it's a cute and fun little game, and a worthy addition to the iPad's list of single-screen multiplayer games. It's available now for iPad, and costs £1.49 / $1.99. Get it here.
Bee Odyssey(Unlock all content) MOD APKHave you ever thought that there's something a little bit extraterrestrial about certain types of Jellyfish? Because I most definitely have, they don't quite look like they belong on this Earth and it seems that developer Guillem Gomez Cartes agrees. Their latest game, Jellyfishers, sees players collecting Jellies and returning them back to their home planet. It's available now for both iOS and Android as a free-to-play game and sports a very cute hand-drawn art style. At its core, it's a casual collecting game with over 150 different Jellyfish to capture. To do this you'll have to successfully beat a mini-game once the various Jellies appear. They won't just appear for no reason, however. You'll need to buy and then place the food down on the beach to lure them away from the deeper waters first. Beyond that, there are 10 different locations in the game that will allow you to find different types of Jellies.Once captured, it's possible for them to evolve further but only once you've caught a certain amount of the same species. This will apparently become more difficult as you progress but there are items you'll be able to obtain that can help in the capture of more Jellies to your collection. You see, there are also some light RPG elements at play in Jellyfishers too. There will be various items you can get that will increase your defence or precision for example. Beyond that, there's more customisation on offer with over 80 different outfits to dress your character up in. There will also be characters you can meet along the way to interact with.Jellyfishers is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.Interested in other upcoming games? Here are some of the best that are currently available in soft-launch

As often shrieking undistinguished woe,Afterburn, the team behind the excellent Golf Peaks, also released another stellar title last year called inbento that released on iOS and Android in September last year. Now they'll be bringing their Zen puzzler over to the Nintendo Switch on March 12th.If you're unfamiliar with inbento, it's a food-themed puzzle game where you'll have a recipe for a bento meal and you'll then have to arrange the different ingredients at your disposal so that it matches that picture. It starts simple and gradually gets more complicated the further you manage to get through its 100 plus levels. It's never ended to mind-bogglingly difficult, however, it's intended to be a chilled-out experience, after all.
The Fox and the Crow"Leslie went one night and the Fiske-man got right after her--oh, he was especially anxious about the souls of the nice-looking girls, believe me!--and he hurt her feelings so she never went again. And then he prayed every night after that, right in public, that the Lord would soften her hard heart. Finally I went to Mr. Leavitt, our minister then, and told him if he didn't make Fiske stop that I'd just rise up the next night and throw my hymn book at him when he mentioned that `beautiful but unrepentant young woman.' I'd have done it too, believe ME. Mr. Leavitt did put a stop to it, but Fiske kept on with his meetings until Charley Douglas put an end to his career in the Glen. Mrs. Charley had been out in California all winter. She'd been real melancholy in the fall--religious melancholy--it ran in her family. Her father worried so much over believing that he had committed the unpardonable sin that he died in the asylum. So when Rose Douglas got that way Charley packed her off to visit her sister in Los Angeles. She got perfectly well and came home just when the Fiske revival was in full swing. She stepped off the train at the Glen, real smiling and chipper, and the first thing she saw staring her in the face on the black, gable-end of the freight shed, was the question, in big white letters, two feet high, `Whither goest thou--to heaven or hell?' That had been one of Fiske's ideas, and he had got Henry Hammond to paint it. Rose just gave a shriek and fainted; and when they got her home she was worse than ever. Charley Douglas went to Mr. Leavitt and told him that every Douglas would leave the church if Fiske was kept there any longer. Mr. Leavitt had to give in, for the Douglases paid half his salary, so Fiske departed, and we had to depend on our Bibles once more for instructions on how to get to heaven. After he was gone Mr. Leavitt found out he was just a masquerading Methodist, and he felt pretty sick, believe ME. Mr. Leavitt fell short in some ways, but he was a good, sound Presbyterian."
